The only flour in this nutrient dense brownie mix is our SunFlour and we use coconut palm sugar for sweetener. So this mix is low glycemic, low carb, free from grains and choc full of healthy fat and protein!
Coconut palm sugar is not very well understood. Unlike it’s name implies, it is not really coconut! It is the nectar from the coconut flower blossom where this delicious sugar is derived. We love it because coconut palm sugar is the lowest glycemic natural sweetener on the market (GI-35) and is perfectly suited for those on low glycemic/low carb diets including Keto, Paleo, and Diabetic diets.
Sugar alcohols commonly used in Keto diets (like erythritol) and non-natural low carb sweeteners used in diabetic diets often cause stomach distress. Coconut palm sugar is gentle on the body and does not raise blood sugar levels. The goal of keto and low carb, low glycemic diets is stable and low blood sugar levels.
