Are you looking for an egg substitute when making a delicious SunFlour recipe?

Several of our recipes call for the use of eggs to give the best structure. We recognize there are many people either by choice or necessity who avoid eggs.
We have tested LOTS of egg replacement products and here are our recommendations for what will give you the best results with our products.
? For replacing the egg in our SunFlour meat replacement recipes like Veggie Balls & Veggie Loaf, use 2 tsp ground chia seeds + 1/4 c room temperature vegetable stock or warm water (let it gel). It works just as well, if not better than egg.
? Replacing egg in a baked good can be a little more tricky, but we’ve found that 1-2 tsp psyllium husk mixed with 3 Tbsp warm water works well for replacing 1 egg (you can find psyllium husk at at pharmacies as it is a great source of natural fiber and the main ingredient in things like Metamucil). You can also use ground chia seeds instead of psyllium husk but we prefer psyllium husk for its milder flavor in things like muffins or pancakes.
Of course, several of our mixes can be made without eggs or egg substitutes! The Brownie Mix makes Chocolate Cookies, the SunPower Bar Mix makes Power Cookies and the Pancake Mix makes Crepes! Simply by leaving out the egg.
